Friday Faves xii

Hi friends!

In usual Friday fashion, I’m chatting about a few things I came across this week that I thought were worth sharing.

1. A capella Cover of “Like I’m Gonna Lose You”

2. The Intern

My mom and I went to see this last weekend and loved it. Light-hearted, entertaining and uplifting.

3. A Local Christmas

A friend (HI TALIA!) shared this on Facebook and it really got me thinking and inspired to go into the Christmas season with a bit of a different frame of mind.

4. Mice Obesity Study

Has anyone come across this study examining the effects of mice eating on a free schedule versus mice eating the same number of calories within a fixed time range?! So intriguing. Of course, it’s hard to extrapolate these types of results to humans but I’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for more studies on the topic.

5. Pumpkin Carving

This week my roommate hosted a pumpkin-carving party – umm great idea or great idea? It was actually my first jack-o-lantern-making experience and I thought it was so fun and festive.

Also, a big shoutout to Jess’s “haunted house cake”. I pretty much.. sort of.. almost see it. ha! JESS YOU’RE THE BEST AND YOU MAKE REALLY GOOD CAKE.

Topping the list of things I’m stoked about is the fact that JOSH IS HERE. Cue all the food and all the fun.

I hope you have some weekend plans making you giddy.

Happy Friday!

That study with the mice is really interesting! I love the cartoon drawings – how cute. Also your pumpkin carving skills are top-notch!
Have a lovely weekend with your boyfriend :)

  2. Ooooo that song!! Beautiful. I had “The Intern” on my list for what movie to go to next – glad you gave it a good review. Oh – and you’ve got some mean pumpkin carving skills lady. Well done.
